Other Requirements In addition to the University’s required application materials, applicants should review the information below for additional expectations or application requirements.

  1. A signed letter or copied email communication from a core faculty member in the HMSC program indicating that he/she is willing to consider mentoring the applicant.  The mentor should be established before an application is submitted.
  2. Prerequisites coursework includes:
    • Statistics, Human anatomy, & Human physiology

AND

    • At least one of the following courses:
      • Physics, biomechanics, chemistry, psychology, exercise physiology, motor learning/motor control/neuromuscular control, or neuroanatomy
  1. Curriculum Vita;
  2. Statement of Purpose outlining both short and long term career interests and how the applicant will contribute to the HMSC program;
  3. Writing Sample
