  2. A statement of purpose that accurately characterizes your current research interests. Optionally, this statement may also include any further information that you would like us to have about (a) your philosophical training (such as the courses that you have taken or the main texts that you have studied), (b) challenges or obstacles you have overcome and how this will contribute to your success as  a graduate student,  and/or (c) ways in which you might contribute to a positive learning community.

Please note that letters of recommendation should be uploaded electronically, within the Graduate School’s online application. The Graduate School’s website details this process hereUNC does not accept the electronic submission of letters of recommendation via Interfolio.

Our Department no longer requires and does not consider GRE scores as part of our application for admission.
