In addition to the University’s required application materials, applicants should review the information below for additional expectations or application requirements. Accepted applicants are automatically considered for all available funding. An undergraduate degree in Art History is highly recommended, but not required. Students who do not have an undergraduate degree in Art History should have 24 credit hours of course work in Art History, Archaeology, Cultural Anthropology, and/or Aesthetics; for students with an MA applying to the PhD program, the degree should be in Art History or a closely related field.
