Other Requirements In addition to the University’s required application materials, applicants should review the information below for additional expectations or application requirements.

  1. The resume should include details of all communication-related work experience, totaling at least three years of full-time experience (e.g., three years in a full-time communications role, six years in a role with 50% communications duties, etc.).
  2. The statement of purpose should describe the applicant’s career goals and academic interests. Applicants should focus on how they think the program will benefit them professionally and personally. The statement of purpose should address applicants’ plan to incorporate a part-time, online master’s program into their schedules, including time-management strategies and the ability to meet the course demands and residency requirements. The statement should be double-spaced and no longer than three pages.
